Aloha New Parents,
It’s normal to be nervous about what lies ahead, but remember that Down syndrome is a condition your baby has, it is not who your baby is. In fact, your baby is more like other infants than they are different, they still need to be fed, held and most importantly, loved! With the whirlwind of emotions, you should know that you are not alone! As a new/expectant parent to a child with Down syndrome, we are here to provide friendship, support, resources and information.
Through our New Family Outreach Program, you can expect to receive our New Parent Packet, full with information that will help answer questions, & provide valuable resources; you will also receive a small gift from our family to yours!
Please call us at 366-6706 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We hope that your family will become a part of our family, a safe, nurturing place where all questions and concerns are welcome, and a place where even the smallest accomplishments can be shared and celebrated!
If you know of a new family expecting a baby with Down syndrome, please call us today! We can do hospital or home visits, and even love bringing our own keiki to meet your family! We are here to kokua!
Aloha and Mahalo,
The DS 'Ohana
